Chapter 1: Scaling Mount Sibayak
Our alarm went off under starry highland skies in Berastagi. Guided by our local mountain guide, we hiked up the rocky trail of Mt. Sibayak. As we reached the crater rim, sulfur vents hissed quietly in the morning mist as the sun broke over the horizon.
